  2. ##Deploy a production ready kubernetes cluster
  3. If you have questions, you can [invite yourself](https://slack.kubespray.io/) to **chat** with us on Slack! [![SlackStatus](https://slack.kubespray.io/badge.svg)](https://kubespray.slack.com)
  4. - Can be deployed on **AWS, GCE, OpenStack or Baremetal**
  5. - **High available** cluster
  6. - **Composable** (Choice of the network plugin for instance)
  7. - Support most popular **Linux distributions**
  8. - **Continuous integration tests**
  9. To deploy the cluster you can use :
  10. [**kargo-cli**](https://github.com/kubespray/kargo-cli) <br>
  11. **Ansible** usual commands <br>
  12. **vagrant** by simply running `vagrant up` (for tests purposes) <br>

  36. Requirements
  37. --------------
  38. * The target servers must have **access to the Internet** in order to pull docker images.
  39. * The **firewalls are not managed**, you'll need to implement your own rules the way you used to.
  40. in order to avoid any issue during deployment you should disable your firewall
  41. * **Copy your ssh keys** to all the servers part of your inventory.
  42. * **Ansible v2.x and python-netaddr**
  43. ## Network plugins
  44. You can choose between 3 network plugins. (default: `flannel` with vxlan backend)
  45. * [**flannel**](docs/flannel.md): gre/vxlan (layer 2) networking.
  46. * [**calico**](docs/calico.md): bgp (layer 3) networking.
  47. * **weave**: Weave is a lightweight container overlay network that doesn't require an external K/V database cluster. <br>
  48. (Please refer to `weave` [troubleshooting documentation](http://docs.weave.works/weave/latest_release/troubleshooting.html))
  49. The choice is defined with the variable `kube_network_plugin`
